Student Bikes rental
You are a student at Katho, Howest or Kulak and you want to reach the campus every day on a quick and easy way? Then the student bikes of Mobiel are exactly what you need!
You can hire a yellow student bike for at least 1 month until the end of the academic year. You pay € 5,00 a month and a deposit of € 40,00 (prices for academic year 2011-2012).
Our bikes are well kitted out with 7 gears and two locks, a horse shoe lock and a chain with only one key. Every 100 days, you have to come by for a free service, unless there's already damage.
How you can get a student bike?
- You come to Mobiel at Minister Tacklaan 57 in Kortrijk; this is at the back of the railway station or you use the form on our website to make a reservation.
- You bring your ID-card or international passport and your student card from Katho, Howest or Kulak or your inscription form.
- We choose a bike and we make a contract for the period you want to rent the bike.
- You pay immediately the total renting price and the deposit. You can pay by cash or maestro card; credit cards are not possible.
Important information:
- If you lose your bike or your bike has been stolen, then you have to pay the current loss value of the bike. This amount can be maximum € 400,00. You can choose for an additional anti-theft insurance. If you lose an insured bike, then you only have to pay the franchise of € 125,00.
- for contracts until 3 months, the insurance costs € 15,00
- for contracts of 4 months or more, the insurance costs € 21,00
- If you want to park your bike safely, you can rent a parking place at the guarded cycle racks of Mobiel.
- If you come over to rent a bike, be aware that it takes among 10 minutes a student to make a contract unless you made a reservation.
- No ID-card/passport or no student card/inscription form = no bike!

- If you want to extend the rent, we charge an extra administration fee of €3,00 euro
